Overview & Description

Katherine Dykes Potentilla (Potentilla fruticosa Katherine Dykes) is a hardy, compact, mounding deciduous shrub prized for its large, soft yellow blooms that appear from spring and last throughout the entire summer. The delicate, buttery-yellow flowers are held on spreading, arching stems, creating a graceful, airy appearance. The grey-green foliage provides a lovely contrast to the luminous blooms. This reliable variety is especially nice in mass plantings.

Growth & Size

This variety exhibits a mounded, spreading, arching growth habit. It is a moderate-growing shrub, typically reaching a mature size of about 40 inches in height with a spread of 40 48 inches.

Additional Notes

An outstanding choice for borders, mass plantings, foundation plantings, and low-maintenance landscapes where soft yellow blooms, grey-green foliage, and graceful arching form are desired.
