Key Features:

• Type: Rhubarb
• Position: Full sun
• Soil: Any, except waterlogged soils
• Rate of Growth: Average
• Hardiness: Fully hardy

Thriving in an open, sunny position with fertile, moist, but well-drained soil, this rhubarb variety performs best when planted in rich growing conditions. Avoid heavy or poorly drained soils, as overly wet winter conditions can lead to crown rot. Producing long, colourful stems with a naturally sweet flavour, it is a favourite for both cooking and desserts.

Easy to establish and low maintenance once planted, rhubarb benefits from an annual mulch of well-rotted compost or manure to encourage healthy growth and reliable crops year after year. Best left undisturbed once established, it will continue to reward gardeners with dependable harvests season after season.

Enjoy the satisfaction of growing your own delicious rhubarb with this classic and dependable garden favourite.

The plant’s growth rate and size will vary depending on planting position & conditions.
