This, the queen of the Daisies, is called Coneflower for its dome-shaped center. Plants continue to bloom from June into the fall. Breeders have teased out a considerable range of pinks, purples, yellows, and oranges, plus white, with more hues coming every year. There are double-flowered forms as well as varieties with petals pulled back like a badminton shuttlecock. These are first-class garden plants for full sun.

High performance coneflowers with Salsa Red blooms so brilliant they’re like beacons in the flower border. Selected from the same fields in northern Illinois that brought us the All-America winner PowWow Wild Berry. Compact and well-branched plants 22″ to 24″ tall and very heavy-flowering with an exceptionally long bloom period that lasts from June well into August.
