Zinnias were a favourite flower of the Aztecs and Macarenia is certainly a variety that sizzles with bold Mexican colour. Big, fully double blooms up to 7cm (3in) across have scarlet petals dipped in gold. Shy of strong colours? Dont be! Pair these fiery zinnias with purple foliage plants such as Ricinus communis and youre in for a truly classy display that will have you dancing the Macarena from July to October! You can even keep dancing on rainy days indoors, as Zinnia make fabulously long-lasting cut flowers too. Fleuroselect award winner.
